The Copper Box is a full service art glass studio. We create custom pieces, do restoration and repairs, offer classes, and sell glass and supplies.

Joseph Helming, the proprietor of The Copper Box, has been working with stained glass since 1973. The Copper Box is a branch of Mr. Helming’s artistic architectural sheet metal company, Helming Brothers Incorporated. Two of Joe’s daughters apprenticed him and are currently running the art glass division of his business. At The Copper Box, we strive to create for our clientele inspirational one of a kind art using glass. Some of the techniques we employ when doing our work are leaded stained glass, fusing, sandblasting and mosaic.

Our goal is to foster an environment where art glass enthusiasts can tune their skills, interact with one another, and have a source for stained glass and supplies. We are pleased to say that we have one the largest selections of sheet stained glass in Indiana, along with an extensive variety of supplies; we are set up to serve hobbyists and professionals alike.
